New live iron event series showcases Vermeer Innovation to local industry

27 March 2017

The new Vermeer TR620 3-product trommel screen was demonstrated this month to several key players in Australia’s organics industry at locations across Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne.

Prospects and industry members have had the ability to see the trommel screen operate in person and experience the full potential of the machine—with promising feedback already received.

Vermeer Environmental Product sales manager Craig Baillie says “Holding events like the LiveIRON demo days means industry players can see the machine on their own site, processing their product—we can tailor the demo to suit their own unique application.”

The TR620’s 3-product configuration helps businesses diversify their revenue streams by extracting three unique products from the incoming material. An example of this is separating wood chip into different grades, some of which can be sold at higher rates.

As the machine is adjustable to suit a particular facility, one example saw the TR620 running 10-20mm screens that removed fine plastics out of the compost even in wet conditions.
